 Recentlymy family had the opportunity to go to the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Baileypresents Dragons show in Chicago. We decided that although we were sure ouryoungest would love it, it was too late in the evening to have him out andexpect good behavior from him. So my husband and I packed up our oldest to headinto the city for a night of ooohing and ahhhing.
Wearrived a little early so that we could walk around on the floor and interactwith some of the cast. When we arrived one of the elephants was walking around,there were clowns dancing, and a blow up bounce house available for children toenjoy.

Once wegot settled in our seats with our big bag of cotton candy and sprite we wereready for the show to begin. {Note to parents- wet wipes are always a goodidea!} The cotton candy got a bit messy for my little one and the paper napkinsjust weren’t cutting it. Thanks goodness for a fellow blogger friend and herdiaper bag {Thanks again Danielle!}.

TheRingmaster captured our attention right from the beginning with his melodiousvoice and booming personality. Johnathan LeeIverson was a fabulous Ringmaster who was a treat to listen to and fun towatch.

Mylittle guy did not stop dancing the entire night! He was a big fan of theclowns and really enjoyed watching Alexander Lacey work with the big cats. Imust say that I was more than a little impressed by the big cats portion of theshow as well. There were lions and tigers and lots of roaring – oh my!


Myfavorite part of the show would have to be the elephants. I adore elephants andreally enjoyed watching them perform. They did a fantastic job! I wouldprobably go back just to see them perform again.

My husbandenjoyed everything about this show. From the Kung Fu Kings to the TorresFamily, everything was new and exciting. I don’t think I will have a hard timetalking him into seeing another Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey show inthe future. 

It hadbeen a long time since I had been to a Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey showand I had forgotten just how much fun it could be for everyone {adults as wellas children}. This was my husband and sons’ first time and they loved it! The RinglingBrothers and Barnum and Bailey presents Dragons did not disappoint and we will definitelybe seeing them again the next time they come to town. It was a great show thatis appropriate and entertaining for the whole family.
